The pool was crowded this Thursday and thus I decided to go to the long course lanes and keep with the theme from Monday’s swim mostly including longer relaxed low-end aerobic efforts.

New week starting this Monday with a mix of some longer relaxed low-end aerobic swims and short sets of 25’s working on underwaters and butterfly.

With a busy afternoon and an evening event on the agenda, I managed to sneak in a quick swim in the later morning before lunch. Relaxed aerobic “pyramid” without using any equipment.
Mar 19, 2024 – Podium Swimming – Distance Session – Aerobic Endurance
Another distance session. Solid aerobic endurance work here. Adjust accordingly so athletes are getting approximately :30 rest after each longer effort.

Tuesday with another quick post-lunch swim including a bit of butterfly work through the first half and non fins freestyle block before a quick recovery.

Starting my week with a quick post-lunch aerobic swim this Monday. Again including a short block without fins as my overall shape is slowly improving.

A training session for your distance folks. All send-offs are assuming a 1:10-1:15 base 100 time.
Sep 30, 2023 – Swim Team Biel-Bienne (Beluga)
My last session with the Beluga kids in Biel this Saturday morning continuing our meet preparation work with a couple quality sprints as well as some fun with a relay at the end.
Feb 8, 2024 – Messer Aquatic Performance
Two days of swimming in a row this week with this Thursday session. Decided to mix some “longer” swims using fins with shorter freestyle sets without the fins.

Back to the pool this Wednesday after a few busy days that kept me out of the water. Decided to work off short blocks of 100’s mixing low-end aerobic freestyle & backstroke and sets of 25’s alternating sculling & underwater kicking.
