All of the main set in the morning doesn’t contain much full stroke. It mostly has drills and kick – so what is the idea from that?
We use our morning sessions quite often to give the athletes time to set up their strokes for the afternoon (main) session. This being an aerobic focused morning lots of drills and kicking are a good way for us to achieve this goal. In my opinion there’s still a good amount of actual swimming in this workout – it’s just mixed up with the kicking and drill work.
