Mar 6, 2016 – Limmat Sharks Zurich

Short Sunday morning recovery session from a few athletes of the distance and IM group. We also had a couple other athletes show up for a quick individual dip and a shower to start their day.

We don’t enforce Sunday sessions during our taper phase. However, we think it’s beneficial for the athletes to stay in touch with the water every day leading into a big meet. During “Championship Weeks” the athletes do get more options to organize their training sessions – some like to keep up morning sessions and take afternoons off while others prefer the opposite and choose to add one of those quick practices on the weekends.

Workout AM

Warm-up:
600 reverse IM as 25 scull, 25 drill, 25 swim, 25 scull, 25 kick, 25 swim

Main set:
12×50 free DPS @50″
2×300 as 1x IM (25 kick, 25 drill, 25 swim), 1x free

6×100 free DPS @1’35
2×200 IM as 1x (25 kick, 25 swim), 1x (25 drill, 25 swim) R20″

Swim down:
200 free breathe 3-5-3-7 by 50

WORKOUT TOTAL: 3000
