Group 2 – Sprint: 100 choice easy 50 choice easy speed from dive + 150 choice easy 25 choice sprint from dive + 75 choice
What goal Cruise Speed in warm-up.
Since we were starting on an interval right off the bat, “cruise speed” is to let the athletes know that everybody needs to make the interval but technique is priority as this is considered “warm-up”. I think breath control work for breaststrokers is best done doing underwater pullouts whenever possible. It hopefully teaches them “distance per pull” as well as how to reduce drag while swimming under water. So we like to give them this option whenever possible.
