Think I explained the reason of incorporating t-shirts and shorts during this taper phase for Short Course Nationals with another workout post – the main goal as mentioned in the description above as well is to add some resistance. I believe that it does give the athletes a small mental edge after they take off the shirt (or shorts) and everything feels much easier all the sudden.
