T2 Aquatics – Active Rest Breaststroke

The idea with this set was to repeat fast 50s Breaststroke with (45) seconds of active recovery between each one. I asked the athletes to stick with flipturns over the course of the set — including the breaststroke 50s.

We’re looking for 200 pace / 400 IM pace on the breaststroke 50s…possibly getting down to second 50 100 pace (which is aided a bit by the flipturns, which are faster than open turns).
