Last week we had a nice taper down into one of the last big qualifiers of the summer. It’s a shorter set, and we’re really winding things down – looking for more quality efforts along with some nice easy swimming.

Aug 7, 2015 – T2 Aquatics – Kick & Active Rest
This workout was designed for about 5-7 days after the end of our Championship season. The main deal is the breaststroke kick set, plus an active rest set to swim fast.

Oct 29, 2014 – Limmat Sharks Zurich
This was one of our speed and sprint focused evening workouts. We did a good hour of dryland before getting in the pool and didn’t waste any more time getting warmed up and went right into some fast swims from a dive.

Oct 24, 2014 – Limmat Sharks Zurich
This is a sprint focused workout with two focus blocks of racing skills (starts and turns) during the main part of the session. We started out warming everybody up with some 400’s and a short pre-set building up some speed for the skills part.
Jul 25, 2015 – Podium Swim Club – Solid Aerobic / Stroke Work
The club I coach for alternates between long course at the Olympic Training Center, and short course at a local college pool.
