Mar 5, 2018 – Podium Swimming – High School Day 7 – Speed and Stroke Work
Working on some speed for both freestylers and IM’ers. In the main sets, good efforts on the bursts with a good focus on good turns and breakouts.
Islanders Aquatics – “The 2018 M & M Invite”
We created our own version of the popularized “Eddie Reese Invite” from the University of Texas Men’s Swimming Team; dubbing the meet, “The M & M Invite,” that’s short for “Marc & Mike.”

Another "bonus" morning session with the breaststroker of the Army group doing some "one to one" coaching before lunch and the afternoon "show session" for the visiting parents during the athlete's graduation day . . .

Mar 3, 2018 – Podium Swimming – High School Day 6 – Sprint / Distance Day
After our recovery day, we got back to work. For the Sprinters / IM’ers we focused on strong 50 yard efforts and good burst efforts.

These are two more examples of our season culminating meet preparations for the LCM Speedo Sectional Series Championship in Buffalo.

Friday afternoon kicking and speed focused practice for the “B-group” athletes not competing at Short Course Nationals. Most of the aerobic parts were done for recovery. They also had a small part at the end working on their underwaters . . .
