Lucky Friday the 13th morning workout concluding this first optional week of training for the National & Junior National groups. More relaxed aerobic work including all the “main components” of this week’s session with some breath control and underwater kicking.

This aerobic focused morning session from the Junior team was for our 200 stroke specialists. It’s part of a set of training sessions that were held with the Junior team during a 15-day preparation phase before a competition.

Last session ahead of the Junior Championships. Everybody was happy to have a swim in the competition pool before the start of the meet. The coaching staff had decided to “prescribe” the first part for all athletes and provide the option for additional “needs” on individual basis after completing the team warm-up.
Last day at our own pool with two recovery focused sessions including some sprint work in the morning to keep everybody sharp. Everything really is relaxed or fast these days leading into the championship meet.
