Third day of aerobic work during our Spring Fitness for the group returning from the Horizon League Championships as we’re building up for summer training.
We finished our Horizon League Championships this week and we look to keep the athletes in shape for the spring. This is another day of aerobic fitness for the team with a bigger underwater focus.

Thursday session focusing on 400 individual medley work.
This is an early season training session. Goal here is getting them back in the water. We don’t start school until after Labor Day. Until then they are on their own or doing captains practices.
I always like doing Pace and Power together. Post Activation Potentiation is the goal of this set or that Taper feeling coming off resistance! Coming off of the chute the swimmers should feel fresh or a little pop on the first couple repetitions after resistance.
Aerobic workout for our Upper group with some just make IM work in the middle. Over the break our athletes are at home, so I am sending them some workouts to keep them in shape and in the water consistently.
Wednesday afternoon backstroke and butterfly tempo session including turn and resistance work from the University of Hawai’i Swimming & Diving team.
