Aerobic and kicking focused Tuesday morning session including some sprint work for the student-athletes of the sports class.
Aerobic freestyle focused Monday evening session for the National & Junior National groups. Starting to implement short rest work with sets of 100’s during the different blocks.
First Saturday workout of the new year for the National & Junior National groups with a fast morning session as we will be incorporating regular “meet simulation” practices in this training cycle.
Aerobic and sprint focused Friday morning incorporating lots of kicking with the National & Junior National groups. We did use the kicking during the aerobic and the sprint sets throughout the session.
Thursday morning including again more sprint and stroke (fly or breast and medley) work for this short course session.
Hump day evening practice for the National & Junior National squad offering three options with an aerobic and speed focus for our “event groups”. Starting the session together with the first “speed block” before splitting into the different groups for more “individualize” work.
Aerobic and sprint focused short course Tuesday morning workout for the National & Junior National groups. Intervals on the sprints providing plenty of rest allowing high quality speed. Also continuing to include short fly swims mixed with breath control work for the aerobic parts.
Aerobic Tuesday practice including some quality pulling during the early “equipment set” before going into some prime stroke focused work.
Starting week two of our Christmas Training with an aerobic kicking focused workout including some short sprint work for the National & Junior National groups this Monday morning.
Mostly aerobic focused Wednesday session increasing the effort level through the second part of the main set going through four rounds of 4×50 + 2×25 all fast!
