Aerobic focused Monday evening workout for the National & Junior National groups as we start our next training cycle moving into long course racing season. We will be spending a few weeks working on building aerobic capacity and slowly increase volume over the Christmas holidays.
Finishing this active recovery week with an aerobic kicking focused Saturday morning workout. Shorter than usual session as we had a team breakfast planned following the swimming to close out the week on a high note.
Aerobic focused Friday evening session for the National & Junior National squad including options for our “event groups” during the “main part” of the workout. We also included some fly kicking during the two common parts in the beginning and at the end.
The Thursday morning session with the student-athletes of the sports class included again lots of drill and stroke work.
Mid-week aerobic focused evening session for the National & Junior National squad including options for our “event groups” during the “main part” of the workout.
Thursday practice mixing kicking and pulling during the pre-set before moving into some general aerobic work focusing on stroke and individual medley.
Following the meet in Uster, we took Monday evening off and went back to the pool on Tuesday to complete our first training cycle with an active recovery week before our focus will shift towards the spring and summer championships.
Wednesday drill focused practice including some general aerobic work.
A short and relaxed hour in the pool this Friday evening with some pre-meet recovery for the National & Junior National athletes.
