Following the meet in Uster, we took Monday evening off and went back to the pool on Tuesday to complete our first training cycle with an active recovery week before our focus will shift towards the spring and summer championships.
Wednesday drill focused practice including some general aerobic work.
A short and relaxed hour in the pool this Friday evening with some pre-meet recovery for the National & Junior National athletes.
Starting week two of our Spring Fitness with an aerobic IM focused workout. We are currently preparing our group for the summer – some go home to their club, some stay and train on campus with our club group.
Aerobic and sprint focused Thursday morning practice for the student-athletes of the sports class. As on Tuesday morning this week, the session does provide them with some “extra” volume and also “extra” time to prepare for the evening workout with the rest of the team.
This is the workout for the Mid/Distance group from the fourth day of our Spring Fitness “campaign”.
Third day of aerobic work during our Spring Fitness for the group returning from the Horizon League Championships as we’re building up for summer training.
Mid-week recovery practice for the National & Junior National athletes offering different options for our “event groups”. This Wednesday evening session was only about an hour long as we aim to maintain our form and peak again at the meet in Uster over the coming weekend.
Aerobic and sprint focused Tuesday morning practice for the student-athletes of the sports class. This session does provide them with some “extra” volume as we prepare to race long course over the weekend.
