Last “racing/lactate” style Saturday morning workout for the Senior group to finish our “extended training cycle”. Starting next week, we will really take it easy and prioritize recovery for our upcoming intrasquad meet series to give our athletes an opportunity to race during this pandemic.
Easy aerobic freestyle cruise and some faster paced stroke work this Thursday morning with our sports class athletes and more racing type work with the full team during the evening session.
Mid-week recovery focused workout for part of the Senior group this Wednesday evening as we continue to follow “protection protocols” splitting into two groups when only having one lane line for our session.
The sessions for the student-athletes of our sports class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings remain aerobic and stroke focused, however, we are making a shift towards “longer distances” as we would normally start our cycle for LC Nationals in March.
Longer aerobic focused Monday evening workout integrating short sprints as we tackled this last week of our “extended training cycle” with no opportunity to compete at last week’s SC Nationals for our athletes now gearing up for a mini intrasquad meet series.
Last one, fast one! Finishing another week of training with a “racing/lactate” style workout this Saturday morning. Once again providing options for our “event groups” while keeping everybody on the same intervals.
Aerobic and stroke focused Thursday morning with our sports class athletes and another racing style workout with the full group in the evening.
Another Wednesday evening where we needed to break the team in two groups – one of them training today and the other one on Friday evening – both doing the same recovery focused workout. Relaxed aerobic kicking & pulling and incorporating some stroke and medley work.
Another week of Tuesday doubles starting with an aerobic and stroke focused morning session for our student-athletes of the sports class and finishing with a “racing/lactate” workout for the full team in the evening.
