T2 Aquatics – Modified Pace Workout

This is a workout we will give some of our sprint-oriented, veteran athletes this week. We are coming off a meet and gearing up for the end of season races.

Because the athletes have raced fast within the last week, I am getting them back into some pace swims slowly. We’ve been doing some 15M swims and some 25M swims….and on this set we will take them up to 35M swims. This set will lead into some 50 and 100 pace swims we will do next week. Should be a fun workout!

50 KB Pull (1)

12×50 (105) “Thirds” — 3 of each stroke

2×50 Paddles (50) 5th, Strong
1×25 Human Stroke (40)
1×25 Choice, no Breast stroke (40) — pick 4 stroke cycles fast

4×50 Paddles (50) 5th, Strong
1×25 Human Stroke (40)
1×25 Choice, no Breaststroke (40) — pick 4 stroke cycles fast

6×50 Paddles (50) 5th, Strong
1×25 Human Stroke (40)
1×25 Choice, no Breaststroke (40) — pick 4 stroke cycles fast

*swim back to ‘paddle side’ on 25 #2 during each round
*great stroke with steady head in & out of breaths
