Feb 1, 2018 – Islanders Aquatics – Gator IM Set
The main set today is centered around good fundamentals and trying to be specific about consistent kicking off our walls, correct stroke counts and of course, fast swimming.
Jan 25, 2018 – Islanders Aquatics – “Spartan 300’s”
This workout is going to specifically work on enduring speed across all strokes, with a focus on maintaining good technique when the athletes begin to fatigue.
Jan 24, 2018 – NCAP West – VO2 Max
Wednesday's 10 x 100 @ VO2 Max @ target times & HR's. This is teamed up with some aerobic training designed to empower athletes to create their own goals, focus, and purpose . . .

One day after Christmas we posted a strong aerobic session! with a main set of 150's (3000) crafted to build confidence and pacing for the 1650, as well as a challenging fly pre set and closing with a strong IM/Stroke progressive set . . .

Dec 2017 – Islanders Aquatics – A Late December to Remember
Rebuilding work after 2 mid-season focus competitions. The practices on Monday morning & afternoon should be considered “flush out/recovery” workouts.

A typical Islanders Aquatics taper workout. This was 6 days out from our mid season meet and 3 days out from Junior Nationals East. Working on the details of a race, specifically great starts and turns.

Race Pace Work prior to Mid-Season Meets. The main set is designed to work on 200’s pace with a specific focus on broken 200’s with various rest intervals mixed into the broken set.
