Early season afternoon workout with a focus on freestyle building up the aerobic and overall yardage. We use the “Body Glide” during warm-up to introduce and work on good body position off the block, strong core and full body streamline.

We’ve been using the parachutes more with our Noon Masters group. Today we are using the chutes after the warmup & then getting an active rest 75s set.

We’ve got a nice active rest set planned for Tuesday. The idea is to begin the set with some strong 75s, and descend through the 50s and the 25s.

Wednesday afternoon practice from our Sectional group focused on kicking and individual medley stroke exchanges and finishing strong. Short fly sprint set holding pace at the end of workout.
Aug 28, 2016 – Podium Swimming – High Aerobic Endurance
With Maryland and Chattanooga coming up shortly, this was a good set to work on high aerobic – almost threshold – endurance for a few of my triathletes.

Short 1 hour Friday morning swim practice focusing on IM turns and exchanges, stroke count and finishing up with a pace set.

Kids begin school this week. Morning swim practice hours start again for the school year and will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:25 AM to 6:30 AM. 3 Rules for improvement for this season:
