The Swim Brief – What Makes a Good Clinic

Coach Nico has just criss-crossed the country in search of swimming knowledge, attending clinics and looking in on one of the top swimming environments in America.

Nico and Chris talk about what makes a good clinic or learning opportunity for coaches. We also talk about some non-clinic resources for continuing education and preview some of what may be to come in that area.

This first part of our professional development discussion was partly inspired by some great ongoing threads in the Swim Coaches Idea Exchange Group on Facebook. We hope to have touched and extended on some of those thoughts. Our goal was to “broadcast” some of our opinions, why we think continued education should continue to be a priority for our profession and what shape this could take in the future.

You can get improvement with less time in the water and a better life out of it, keep the sport fun for kids, or take high level performance even higher.
