Single session Thursday with a sprint focused evening practice for the National & Junior National group athletes continuing their preparation at home towards their “peak meets”.
Thursday morning session for the student-athletes of the sports class with an aerobic and sprint focused session to prepare for the second lactate practice of the week with the rest of the team in the evening.
This week “looks & feels” similar to the last and thus the student-athletes of the sports class started their Tuesday morning with an aerobic and sprint focused session to prepare for the lactate practice with the rest of the team in the evening.
Aerobic and sprint focused Thursday morning session for the student-athletes of the sports class providing them with some “extra time” in the pool to prepare for the lactate practice with the rest of the team in the evening.

Low volume overall, because we want to give them the opportunity to hit a TRUE 10/10 multiple times throughout the workout. Plus, Thursday evenings are fairly demanding distance-wise so we need them ready for that.
Aerobic and sprint focused Friday morning workout for the National & Junior National groups including a couple cruise 50’s and preparing for the more medley based afternoon session.
Week two of our holiday training starting with an aerobic and sprint focused Monday morning session for the National & Junior National groups.
Already school holidays again and we have two “camp weeks” with more opportunities for additional morning sessions ahead of us. Starting this first week with a recovery focused Monday morning as the Junior National group athletes were coming off a meet in Oerlikon.
I try to dedicate one day a week to a bit more kick focus. I try to mix this up with our stroke work from time to time and keep it fresh for the athletes especially since yesterday was an aerobic freestyle day.
