What goal shoulder rotation in swim down?
The negative split was used in this workout for the “longer” aerobic freestyle swims. The goal in doing so was to make sure they wouldn’t just “slack” through those but keep their pace and work the back half – there was no intensity required for this to be done as the goal was to make sure the athletes would stay engaged through those swims. Shoulder rotation is always a great drill with kicking – no matter during what phase of the workout.
