Jun 9, 2015 – T2 Aquatics Masters

This was our Masters workout from Tuesday at noon. We’ve been alternating Active Rest days and Aerobic days, and the athletes are starting to hit 100s, 150s, and 200s that they haven’t hit in their recent personal history!

Masters athletes, in my experience, tend to get used to basic aerobic work — and this type of work can be hard for many of them to do well. As we’ve gotten used to it we’ve gotten better. I’ll probably give them a ladder for Thursday (100, 200, 300, 400, 300, 200, 100).

Workout

Warm-up:
1200 or 900 or 600
{one third swim, one third Kick, one third Pull}

Pre-Set (3x):
1×75 Free (110)* descend to 90%
1×50 choice (1)
1×25 choice (40)

Main Set (6x):
1×150 Free (230)* descend 1-3 x2
1×75 Free (110)
1×50 Free (1)
1×25 Free (50)

8×50 FINS (1)
#3 and #6 Fast*
