Good work : why distance 100 lactate peak?
100 Choice Fins Lactate Peak
For one they just completed two sets of a total of 1200 kicking, already using fins for the majority of it. To me it kind of did make sense to do this 100 all out kicking and keep the fins on to really make it fast and get them to push the under waters. Also I didn’t think that they completely recovered from the “Countdown to Hell” main set the previous days as they did look a little sluggish on the 50 right before during this first part – and I don’t like looking at people swimming fast this way.
What effect Physiolog use build in training recovery?
Over the past, I have noticed that most of the athletes I have worked with tend to almost completely shut down when they hear the word recovery. And the same happens, if we won’t do any recovery for a long period. Having them do some smooth build or descend sets during our recovery workouts did give them the freedom to start out as relaxed as they wanted but also get their HR to the level I wanted.
What target use kick I swim down?
100 Choice Kick easy smile
The “Smile Kick” is there to end the workout on a positive note – try to smile for 1 minute when you don’t feel your best and you’ll see the change happening…the body doesn’t know you’re not happy but remembers the muscles needed to smile and does react as if it was real. I decided to do this at the end during the workout as I didn’t see the effects on the athletes of the recovery session in the way I was expecting to do.
