Both sessions of the day focused on aerobic cruise speed with lots of drill work. There were also smaller elements to build speed for short sprints. We also wanted to work on all strokes and had a good amount of medley work in the morning . . .

It’s something most of them never get to do and just symbolises taking of the “pressure”. Just felt right that day.

There are many possibilities to implement something like this…they could swim breaststroke with the head out of the water or simply kick as we did that day. However I believe it should be at the end of a special workout or on a special day, so the athletes understand this is a special situation.
What benefit beginning the training use fins?
What is mean Social ?
Social means that they’re allowed to kick next to each other and talk. The meditation kick is a good way to have each athlete focus on himself and the fins should make the intensity match warm-up speed.
