Aerobic focused Tuesday including sprints and kicking for our sprint specialist while incorporating lots of backstroke for the distance athlete of the group.
First week after the Christmas and New Years holiday training back together at CST in Tenero before we’ll be going away for altitude and sunshine camps.
Last session for this week with an aerobic based morning workout aiming to aid with recovery and including plenty of kicking.
Overall aerobic focused Thursday including speed work during the morning session and incorporating more short threshold style sets during the afternoon practice.
Wednesday starting with a speed focused morning session including a first flavor of threshold work while the afternoon practice was dedicated to recovery incorporating sets of 50’s kicking.
First practice of this second “bonus” week following another three days off. We again went to the gym first after arriving in Tenero and used the swimming as an “active recovery and warm-up” session for the coming days.
Aerobic recovery incorporating plenty of kicking during this Friday morning practice. They were also allowed wear fins during the first two set of 50’s to make the intervals more relaxed.
Aerobic focused Thursday including short sprints during the morning workout and increasing the tempo with short overspeed sets during the afternoon session.
This Wednesday we focused on sprints and overspeed during the morning workout while we aimed for active recovery including lots of kicking in the afternoon session.
