Post-meet recovery focused Monday evening practice for the National & Junior National groups with mostly low-end aerobic freestyle and backstroke including some breath control work.
Shorter Friday evening session for the National & Junior National groups with more recovery and a few short sprints to get ready to compete at the Hi-Point meet in Oerlikon on the weekend.
Thursday with two aerobic recovery focused workouts. The student-athletes of the sports class started their morning alternating some short cruise and tempo freestyle sets for a little more active recovery built around mostly low-end aerobic work.
Wednesday evening for the National & Junior National groups with another quality lactate session before we’ll be closing out this week with more quality racing at the Hi-Point meet in Oerlikon on the weekend as a last “tune-up” before Long Course Nationals later this month.
Overall aerobic and kicking focused Tuesday aiming to aid with recovery between our lactate practices. The morning session for the student-athletes of the sports class did include some short tempo work.
Kicking off this week and last practice of the month with a quality lactate session. Little volume and lots of intensity for the National & Junior National groups this Monday evening.
Third Saturday morning “meet simulation” practice providing an opportunity for fast swimming to the athletes of our National & Junior National groups.
This week’s FriYAY guest workout continues the aerobic recovery for the National & Junior National groups with a kicking technique focused “main set” as the athletes are getting ready for another Saturday morning racing practice.
This Thursday was an overall aerobic and recovery focused day of training. The morning session for the student-athletes of the sports class included mainly aerobic cruise sets alternating with a mix of kick, pull, and drills.
Wednesday evening practice for the National & Junior National groups including a 200 lactate set as well as an overspeed “bonus” swim.
