I never approach a workout with a set total in mind. But since one of our goals for this training trip was to get some longer swims done, we did want to try to go 6000 meters or more in the mornings. Most of the longer swims were done as "low end" aerobic efforts so the athletes could focus on their stroke quality those . . .

Over the coming days you’ll notice that we did the same warm-up for every workout. We decided that doing the same warm-up would give us the necessary “peace” in the beginning of each workout during this training trip where our goal was to transition from SCM to LCM and get some higher volume workouts than we usually would . . .
