This evening workout focused on holding pace and work on speed under fatigue. There’s quite a bit of equipment involved that makes this workout look easier than it really is…test it for yourself.

A “typical” speed workout with short sprints and lots of recovery swimming from the Lancy Natation Elite group. Most “options” are from the fly group but you could do the fly swim and kicking parts in another stroke using the same concepts.

For some getting out of bed and making it to morning swim practice isn’t an easy task. The next important step, we at Vevey need to work on, is getting our athletes ready to perform in the morning. It’s part of what they will have to do at the big end of season meets. This workout focused on slowly getting them moving faster as the morning got brighter.

Morning workout from the Lancy Natation Elite group with an 8×50’s test set also know as “Russian Numbers”. Count your strokes on the first 50 and then keep the same stroke count throughout all 8 but getting faster on each one.
