Aerobic and kicking focused Friday evening workout integrating some breath control and underwaters.
Overall aerobic focused Thursday of training for the Junior & Senior group including speed work in the morning while swimming short course and splitting into groups during the long course evening practice for more “individualized” sets.
Aerobic kicking focused Wednesday evening workout for the Junior & Senior athletes.
Aerobic focused Tuesday evening workout for the Senior group. There wasn’t a lot of intensity but a little “higher volume” as we were going through a “hybrid” week aiming to recover while also doing some of the “aerobic base work” following our “taper meet”.
Overall aerobic and sprint focused day of training including some post-meet recovery in the evening. The morning workout was only for the athletes that didn’t compete over the weekend.
Friday morning workout starting with different sprints before a low-end aerobic focused part for some active recovery ahead of our meet over the weekend.
Thursday evening workout for the Senior & Junior group including “R&R” (race pace & recovery). Although the focus was on the race pace efforts, we were also aiming to provide enough recovery with “our taper meet” coming up on the weekend.
Hump day starting with a sprint focused morning session including aerobic elements for active recovery. Knowing that we were going to split up into our event groups for the evening session and get a little more volume training long course, we finished the morning workout with a “special” last part doing some vertical kicking and a few floating drills.
Tuesday evening workout for the Senior group including some race pace efforts as we’re heading into “our taper meet” this upcoming weekend.
Monday morning starting with relaxed aerobic and sprint work as we’re finally getting all of the team ready to compete again.
