Mid-week speed focused session including some resistance work to “prepare” for the fast efforts during the main set.
Mainly aerobic focused Tuesday practice including some “low-level” speed work as we aim to get back to more intensity in our day-to-day training.
Short and simple Saturday morning session finishing this mostly low-aerobic focused week including a few short speed and sprint efforts.
Aerobic focused workout alternating lots of kicking and drilling. We also included short sets of 25’s with the goal to swim “race pace” the most efficient way possible.
Aerobic and sprint focused session including more kicking as we work on getting back in shape and aim to swim mainly at high speed with perfect technique.
Second day of the new year with a shorter aerobic and kicking focused session also including some breath control work.
Low-end aerobic and sprint focused workout to start off the New Year. Following an almost two week long break from the pool with the holidays adding more days out of the water the goal for the week was to get back in the flow with mainly relaxed longer swimming and short sprints.
Aerobic and speed focused session including a few sprints and two overspeed efforts.
Relaxed aerobic session including lots of kicking and pulling. We’re still working on “feel” quite a bit and in the unknown beginning of this “lockdown” phase on simply maintaining fitness levels.
Aerobic and sprint focused session including some speed and breath control work. Using rest intervals to provide enough recovery between the fast efforts as the goal was to really train “polarized” with either very relaxed or high speeds.
