First day back at home in Bergen following our training camp in Luxembourg. Starting the final three weeks of our preparation for the Bergen Swim Festival with some relaxed aerobic and highly focused speed work while also providing options for our event groups during the last part of the session.

Race simulation workout for the SUMSIM group this afternoon. Everybody competing on Saturday morning was entered in the 50 fly and 100 free – these were the two events we used for our “simulation” today.

Aerobic recovery focused Thursday with two similar workouts mixing some longer swimming with shorter sets. Both session also included a good amount of breath control and drill work.

Last full day of training in Luxembourg with another “Fast & Furious” morning session this Thursday. The afternoon was dedicated to recovery with a short swim for the women and a visit to the wellness center for the men.

Mid-week aerobic and stroke focused afternoon session for the SUMSIM group. Working the medley and “off strokes” with the competition in Landskrona coming up this Saturday where a lot of our athletes will be competing in stroke 50’s.

Overall recovery focused day of training for BS Elite with relaxed aerobic swimming in the morning, weights to start and just a little bit of speed work in the pool during the afternoon.

Mid-week threshold focused Wednesday evening workout for the Sharks. Mixing broken swims with “speed work” and just enough easy swimming to keep the hard efforts at the right level.
