Those are all good questions and there are probably “no good” answers. At some point you have to start to look at our workouts not as a single sessions, especially on days with doubles, but as “continuous” repeats of intensities and separate blocks of work. So there may not be a proper “swim down” per say, although the block is “inaptly” named as such.
