Descending freestyle aerobic threshold set this morning for my teenage aged Senior Squad. Mentally this set is ‘do-able’ – it doesn’t quite look 2.3k. Breaking it down into three sets with one less 100 each time and a bonus 200 for time.
The girls were able to start the 100s at 1.20 and descend down from there 2 secs each round. So 1:40 cycle was sufficient. Adjust if needed. For those capable of a much larger set you could continue this with 200+3×100, 200+2×100, 200+1×100 and so forth.
