T2 Aquatics – Fartlek Practice

We are getting toward the “end” of our HS Season (August to the first week in November). Our weekly progression started with Aerobic Threshold Training on Monday, and some Active Rest Pace on Tuesday.

Today we are going to stay pretty general, mix the strokes, and do some Fartlek training.

Wednesday October 23, 2013 – PM

1×800 Free (10) – Negative Split
8×100 Kick-Drill (145) – kick = choice / drill = 2 of each
4×200 IM (250) – final 50 Kick with board Fast*

4x:
4×50 Free (40)
4×50 Free-Stroke* (45)
{Free-Breast on (50)}

300 {25 DBL arm Back + 25 Human Stroke + 25 Scull}

16×100 IM (125) – “Quarters”
“Quarters” = #1 Free Fast, #2 Breast Fast, #3 Back Fast, #4 Fly Fast

200 easy

4×100 (2) Dive 25 underwater Kick + 50 Easy + rest 10 + 25 No Breath Free

WORKOUT TOTAL: 6500
