Could you discuss how do you think about the main set part 2?
This part of the workout takes the athletes through a short 400 meters focusing on speed and steady swim speed. There’s a lot of rest through this set and this should allow for high quality sprints.
What goal mixed drills/ fast during main set part 1?
This type of succession of set during part 1 is where we want to choose drills that can be done execute at a faster speed and set up the strokes for the sprints. In the same way, it’s a good way to add some active recovery between the fast 25’s.
