This was one of those “odd” fly/sprint workouts from the Lancy Natation Elite Group. Getting ready to race long course in March, keeping the yardage up was a constant in all swim workouts in that period. Those sessions are either relaxed longer or short sprint swims.

Overall aerobic Thursday for the team in Vevey. With limited time in the morning, the focus was on a longer afternoon workout including options for our more sprint and distance focused athletes.

Some more needed recovery after the hard pace workout the previous day. Mixed some longer kicking in the morning and shorts sprints in the afternoon to break the old habit of just swimming back and forth.

Monday evening starting the week for the Lancy Natation Elite group with a “classical” in season sprint workout mixing lots of long and smooth swims with short high intensity sprints.

This Tuesday evening session is a good example of a typical in season sprint workout from the Lancy Natation Elite group during the 2008-2009 campaign. Mixing short, high quality sprints with lots of longer recovery swimming.
