Mar 21, 2018 – Podium Swimming – High School Day 21 – Aerobic Session

A good solid aerobic session. Nothing too hard regarding send-offs as we’re coming off a couple of tough meets.

Some good quality efforts are built in as usual, but just some strong swimming while focusing on form and keeping up some good efforts. Looking to keep that HR and rest intervals aerobic.

Workout

Warm-up:
600 swim
400 pull

5 rounds:
1 x 100 kick @ 1:40
2 x 50 @ :50 done as 1 drill, 1 swim

Main sets:
4 rounds:
1 x 200 @ 2:40 aerobic
2 x 100 @ 1:30 build to fast
2 x 50 @ 1:00 done as 1 Fast, 1 easy

6 rounds:
1 x 100 @ 1:20 – 1:30 strong
1 x 50 @ :50 burst 4/8

200 / 300 / 400 @ 1:20 base

Cool down:
500 choice easy
