With a large and important Invite meet beginning the following day (prelims, finals over two days) we had an easier day to prepare. A longer warm-up, using “The Brick” to work on underwaters. As stated before, if you don’t have access to these boards, just work underwaters without anything.

Wednesday morning “active recovery” style practice going through a 2k kicking set and some short fly & breast tempo work. Intervals were on the easier side, allowing for plenty of rest and solid efforts during the kick set.

Monday afternoon Age Group (athletes ages 11-12) practice starting out with some aerobic capacity work before a technique focused freestyle part and a little speed work to finish the session.
