Hump day providing another short rest aerobic focused evening practice for the National & Junior National groups. Our aim with these workouts is to keep the intensity low while increasing the “aerobic power”.
Our weeks are really following a “pattern” now and thus the student-athletes of the sports class started their Tuesday with another aerobic and kicking focused morning session including some sprint work.
Another week starting with a short rest aerobic freestyle focused evening session for the National & Junior National groups.
Optional Saturday practice for the National & Junior National athletes including just a short our of low-end aerobic work incorporating some stroke work.
Aerobic focused Friday evening with our “guest workout” during the first part and the athletes’ sets during the second half. This was our last session for the week.
Aerobic and sprint focused Thursday morning session for the student-athletes of the sports class.
Mid-week short rest aerobic focused evening practice for the National & Junior National groups. Aiming to keep the intensity low while “building” the aerobic pace during the two main blocks of the session.
Aerobic and kicking focused Tuesday morning session including some sprint work for the student-athletes of the sports class.
Aerobic freestyle focused Monday evening session for the National & Junior National groups. Starting to implement short rest work with sets of 100’s during the different blocks.
First Saturday workout of the new year for the National & Junior National groups with a fast morning session as we will be incorporating regular “meet simulation” practices in this training cycle.
