This type of workout is typical of a “post meet” session where the intensity is determined by the athletes and generally there is some mixing of strokes and some kicking and pulling involved.

This is a workout Katie Hoff did on Monday, March 12, 2007 at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club. My T2 Aquatics athletes have done something very similar to this recently, in preparation for Florida High School Region Champs / Florida High School States.
Two swim workouts from early in the year. This was an active recovery and speed focused Friday for us in Vevey. Some of the athletes were off from school that particular week and did doubles every day.
Saturday morning is race day at the Florida Keys Swim Club. We were working on improving our kicking at this time and our reference was over a timed 400 freestyle kick which we did again to start off the main set.
Work on your fitness with this kicking focused Wednesday morning session from the Fighting Manatee Masters in the Florida Keys. Kicking is a great way to improve your overall fitness and your swimming.
Aerobic recovery focused Friday morning workout from the Florida Keys Swim Club. A longer warm-up and some kicking to get started before the aerobic freestyle heavy main set.
The focus of this workout is quality. The goal is to build up speed through each distance/set and through the whole series of sets.
Monday evening workout about two weeks out of SC Nationals. For the Elite group the main goal from now on is to recover from the last 8 weeks of training.
