This is the Tuesday evening workout for some of the athletes of the SCU Elite squad and my first session working with them while substituting for Head Coach Gerard Moerland during the time he was away for a training camp.
Starting this new week in the pool on Tuesday with a relaxed aerobic post-lunch swim.
Wednesday post lunch swim including mostly aerobic freestyle and backstroke mixed with sets of 25’s butterfly. Back in the short course pool today, I got rid of the fins after the first block.
Longer and mostly relaxed aerobic post lunch swim on this Tuesday afternoon. Included a block with short sets of 50’s for some speed work before wrapping up.
Just a quick dip this Friday to relax between a busy morning and afternoon. Starting out with a mix of low-end aerobic freestyle and backstroke work before a short butterfly block.
Back in the pool almost a week after my last swim and thus I decided on mostly relaxed low-end aerobic work including lots of sculling and some butterfly towards the end.
The pool was quite crowded this Thursday morning and therefore decided to jump into the long course lanes, hold onto my fins, and alternate longer relaxed swimming with shorter sets of 50’s.
