Aerobic focused Thursday including short sprints during the morning workout and increasing the tempo with short overspeed sets during the afternoon session.
This Wednesday we focused on sprints and overspeed during the morning workout while we aimed for active recovery including lots of kicking in the afternoon session.
This was our first session back after three days off. We went straight to the gym after arriving in Tenero and used the swimming as an “active recovery and warm-up” session for the coming days.
Last day of training at CST in Tenero before a few days off during the Christmas Holiday. It was overall an aerobic focused day including a few fast efforts for our sprint athlete and the “Tom Dolan” set for our medley specialist.
This Thursday our sprint athletes had two pool and one weight room session again. The morning swim included sprints and the afternoon incorporated recovery through kicking.
Wednesday aerobic focused afternoon session including longer swims for our two sprint athletes and a breaststroke workout for our medley specialist.

Change of scenery for the athletes of Team Armee as we moved to the National Youth Sports Centre in Tenero for our training during week #8 before a couple days off over the Christmas Holidays. We also had a “guest” who joined the team in 2018 swimming with our sprint specialist for this week.
Closing out another week in Magglingen with an early Friday morning swim. Just a bit of relaxed aerobic work to wake-up and enjoy some active recovery.
Our “main” practice this Thursday was in the weight room in the morning. The afternoon session in the pool was focused on recovery with light aerobic work including either some longer swims or alternating kicking and pulling.
