As I’ve said before, there are a lot of triathletes that swim with my Masters club in Colorado Springs. A couple XTERRA athletes enjoyed a good anaerobic set.

Mar 11, 2017 – Podium Swimming – Senior Team Weekend Workout
Solid efforts for our weekend session. Sprinters and IM’ers get some good work in the main set focusing on good quality efforts with their turns and breakouts.

Two workouts from a threshold and speed focused Tuesday. Both sessions have a similar warm-up using breath control and stroke technique elements. Kicking was another component in the morning while sprint sets took charge in the afternoon . . .

Nothing fancy, just a good, solid, aerobic session for my Masters club. Good rest – all based on a 1:20 base 100 time – keeping the energy system aerobic.

Aerobic focused session working on medley skills with the Jack Macks. The Jack Macks is a squad made up of swimmers who want to compete.

This afternoon session is an aerobic build practice implementing a "kick-pull-swim" pattern during the main set mixed with some sprint work. We also continued the stroke focus from the previous day with a longer medley set . . .
