After only making a single session last week, I was aiming to jump in the pool for shorter daily swims between my commitments this week.
Our workout this evening was a last “push” heading into the competition with some race pace efforts after a longer warm-up block.
Tuesday morning kicking off another week in the pool with some longer and relaxed aerobic swims integrating drills mixed with shorter sets aiming to apply those “skills”.
Mid-week speed and sprint practice for the Elite squad in Uster. This Wednesday evening was all about going fast and integrating some race skills.
Short and rather “early” Friday morning swim to end this week in the pool including some easy aerobic work mixed with sculling and butterfly kicking skills.
Tuesday evening lactate and speed focused workout for the Elite squad in Uster. A somewhat more “traditional” approach to lactate training mixed with short speed work.
My Thursday morning swim started with a relaxed aerobic part before focusing on butterfly working on underwater kicking skills.
Kicking off the new week for the Elite squad in Uster on Monday evening with some race pace work. Instructions for this practice were to provide the athletes with long rest and keep the fast efforts short distance.
Last practice of the week for the Elite squad in Uster on this Saturday morning with their second lactate session taking a bit of a different approach to broken swims during the fast efforts.
Friday evening session for the Elite squad in Uster providing them with a good mix of aerobic and sprint work.
