Sprint focused morning session with an aerobic last part offering two options for our “event groups”. Due to yet another public holiday, we were only able to train in the morning today.
Speed focused Tuesday evening session including plenty of short sprints and some overspeed work as well as aerobic recovery to continue this week’s overall theme.
Post-meet recovery focused evening session starting with a half hour team stretch before jumping in the pool for a short hour. And we also provided two options for our “event groups”.
Friday evening workout for the athletes of the Junior & Senior group not competing during the first session of the meet in Basel. They went through their meet warm-up routines and had two “fast options” available.
Aerobic freestyle focused Thursday morning with the sports class including some main stroke work and mostly kicking for “recovery” in the evening with the full team ahead of our meet in Basel this upcoming weekend.
Low-end aerobic and mostly sprint focused morning workout for the student-athletes of the sports class. Integrating short kick-pull-swim sets between the different blocks before a “longer” swim down part.
Starting this new week with a recovery focused morning session mostly working on “basic skills”. This Monday being a public holiday, we had access to more lane space and time in the pool compared to our current schedule.
Sunday morning threshold focused session with different options for our event groups. Although another good practice for us, we did notice some fatigue with the athletes following the already tough Saturday morning workout.
Broken 200’s for threshold like efforts during this Saturday morning session. During these sets we were working in two groups providing the “interval”/rest. We also challenged them to crush their PBs by the biggest margin possible on the final effort this morning.
Aerobic focused Thursday incorporating sprints in the morning with the sports class and some kicking in the evening with the full team.
