Monday morning of week six for the athletes of Team Armee at BASPO in Magglingen was another short early swim followed by a weight session in the afternoon.
Mostly aerobic focused Tuesday evening workout from the Aloha Aquatica Pro Swim Team with two similar “main blocks” – one kicking, one swimming integrating increasing intensities and including a few short sprints.
On Wednesday they had a short early morning swim before the official wake-up and a weight session following a short instruction input. The afternoon was available for training and I provided this workout for our sprint focused athlete.
Sprint and skills focused Thursday morning workout from the Aloha Aquatica Pro Swim Team including a longer warm-up to prepare for the main part including many variations of short max efforts.
Closing out week #4 with a short and relaxed morning workout in Magglingen. Our sprint athlete was having a few days off over the weekend and didn’t swim while our mid-distance specialist was also in the pool doing his own loosen swim.

Aerobic focused Thursday afternoon for the Team Armee athletes including a sprint, an active recovery, and a skills (turns) emphasis depending on different needs at this time of the season.

Full day dedicated to training this Wednesday with two shorter aerobic focused sessions for the athletes recovering from Swiss Short Course Nationals and a pace focused workout for our athlete preparing for Short Course World Championships.
First practice of week four for the Team Armee athletes on this Tuesday following a day off after three days of racing at Swiss Short Course Nationals. Post-meet recovery with relaxed aerobic work except for our Short Course World Championships qualifier who was back in “full training”.
