Recovery focused Friday afternoon workout for the Junior group starting with a short team stretch before jumping in the pool. This was our last session at the beautiful outdoor facility in Wangen for the season.
This is an afternoon workout from the advanced group of our Junior team focusing on individual medley.
Shifting our “meet simulation” practice to the morning this Thursday to get used to get up and race “early” (as most of our athletes will need to be ready in prelims to make it back). The session included a little bit of a longer swim down as we were including a little more “speed” during the afternoon workout.
Aerobic and individual medley focused afternoon workout from the Junior team.
Recovery focused Wednesday with a short optional morning session for the athletes wanting to stay “on meet schedule” and maybe getting some extra active recovery following the “meet simulation” practice the previous evening.
Aerobic focused Monday workout from the winter training camp of the Junior team.
Schools out for the summer and we’re now able to have morning workouts with all of the Junior group preparing for their championship meet. We started this practice with a short activation on land before jumping in the pool. Aerobic and sprint focused session to prepare for the racing in the afternoon.
Saturday morning individual medley focused long course workout.
Freestyle focused afternoon workout.
Aerobic focused Monday evening workout for the Junior group with both options accomplishing the same goal of providing recovery without dropping too much in volume.
