Lactate focused Tuesday evening workout for the Junior athletes with more of a threshold approach for the distance group and everybody finishing the session with a short overspeed set.
Last week of school and with Swiss Summer Nationals over, we will mostly have our Junior athletes in the pool preparing for their end of season championship meet. This Monday evening we got started with some stretching before a mostly aerobic focused session including some short speed work to start the week.
Anaerobic focused Saturday morning session for the Junior group including a couple good threshold sets switching gears and working on that stamina to finish our races with confidence at the upcoming championship meet.
Shorter recovery focused Friday evening workout for the Junior group. They started the session with some light dryland to warm-up before jumping in the pool.
Anaerobic focused Thursday session for the Junior group including some good pace work switching gears. They opted to train at the outdoor pool this evening in order to swim one of their first hard workouts in long course.
Mid-week recovery for both of our groups this Wednesday evening with just a little bit more low-end aerobic work for the Junior athletes still a few weeks out from their championship meet.
Aerobic recovery focused Tuesday morning with the student-athletes of the sports class. Shorter workout as we started a little later than usual to provide some extra sleep for the athletes and also optional for those competing at Summer Nationals.
Championship week for our Senior athletes competing at Swiss Summer Nationals and start of the last training cycle leading into Junior Nationals for our younger athletes. We were able to use both of our pools and separated the two groups with the Seniors swimming outdoors and the Juniors indoors.
Aerobic kicking focused Sunday morning workout for the younger athletes preparing for Junior Nationals offering two options for long and short axis strokes through the second half of the session.
Saturday morning practice providing two different workouts with the athletes preparing for Junior Nationals going through an aerobic threshold main set and the athletes gearing up for Summer Nationals racing another broken swim.
