Aerobic and sprint focused day of training for the team in Biel. Both sessions this Friday included a good amount of short-axis stroke work while the evening also incorporated some racing skills coupled with the sprinting.
Pretty relaxed and somewhat shorter Thursday morning to get back in the groove following the half day off. It was a busy school day and all of the athletes needed to leave a bit earlier than usual. We tried to use this hour best possible to get everybody ready for the evening session where we had our third and final longer uninterrupted swim of the week.
Aerobic focused Tuesday evening practice for the Beluga kids incorporating some of our recent short-axis stroke work during the first part and mixing some “feel for the water” between the cruise 50’s during the second half.
Wednesday morning with an aerobic and sprint focused workout for the Team in Biel. We also included a bit of a short-axis stroke emphasis working on “efficiency” over short distances.
Aerobic focused Tuesday for the Team in Biel with a little bit of everything during the early morning session and the second longer uninterrupted swim of this week in the evening.
Saturday morning workout from the Beluga group in Biel including small technique blocks and some fun sprint & “power” elements.
Starting this new week of training with relaxed low-end aerobic focused morning session as a type of a long “warm-up” for the day and also working a bit on short-axis strokes. One of the goals for this week was to include some longer uninterrupted swimming which we did during the evening session.
Overall relaxed Saturday morning practice for the Elite group in Biel. Low-end aerobic work mixed with short sprints and ending the session with a few minutes of float drills.
Tuesday evening workout from the Beluga group focused on basic skills and some butterfly technique.
