Thursday afternoon with more active recovery including mostly relaxed aerobic swimming. We didn’t have too much time at the pool today and made it somewhat a “nonstop” session.
Our sprint specialist had an hour of active recovery including some kicking and breath control work while the distance athlete had an aerobic freestyle and medley based session.
About an hour of aerobic recovery for our sprint specialist and a bit of a longer session for our distance athlete focusing on backstroke including sprints.
Last full day of training at altitude for the Team Armee athletes before a few days back at BASPO in Magglingen for “graduation” and travel to the next camp under the sun in Tenerife.
Finishing week #3 at altitude in St. Moritz with an aerobic focused Sunday for the group. Our sprint specialist’s morning session included capacity and power type sets while the afternoon incorporated more kicking.
Last Saturday at altitude in St. Moritz was a recovery day for our sprint specialist with just a short and relaxed morning swim for some active recovery to start the day.
Aerobic focused Friday integrating some speed work for the sprint and mid-distance athletes of the group. Both of them had quite a big morning session and a shorter evening workout in the pool as both of them were also in the weight room ahead of the swim.
Thursday morning starting with our “Altitude Adaptation” test set for the sprint and mid-distance specialists. Both of those athletes had aerobic recovery focused sessions in the evening.
Overall aerobic focused workouts this Wednesday including some capacity and power work for our sprint specialist, short sprint and speed sets for the mid-distance freestyle athlete.
Aerobic and recovery focused Tuesday for the Team Armee athletes in St. Moritz including a full morning and a shorter evening session. Our sprint specialist incorporated short fast efforts during the morning workout and really kept things relaxed in the evening.
