This Thursday evening started with some good dryland action and only a short recovery focused session in the pool.
Aerobic and speed focused afternoon workout for the SUMSIM group. Starting out with the aerobic part alternating between shorter sets and some “longer” continuous swims.
Aerobic focused Friday including some speed work but all with active recovery in mind. The morning workout also included some good kicking action during the main set.
Relaxed aerobic Wednesday evening workout including some short sprints for the Senior athletes.
Saturday morning with an intrasquad dual meet. We challenged the groups with a dryland and pool part for a final points tally. Switching things up from “regular meets” with some fun and fast events.
Thursday with an optional morning workout for all athletes preparing for Junior Nationals. Mostly pace and speed focused day of training with lots of different groups in the afternoon.
Thursday evening workout with the younger athletes doing more relaxed aerobic work integrating a few short blast efforts kicking.
Recovery focused first hour during this Friday afternoon workout for the SUMSIM group. The second half of the practice was dedicated to our #FreePlayFriday initiative “crafted” by the coaching staff.
Aerobic focused Wednesday evening workout for the Elite group. The session included some “tempo & speed work” with short rest aerobic sets and just a few pace efforts.
Relaxed aerobic Monday evening workout for the Junior group. First time leading a practice with the new team, although not my own group yet.
