Jul 21, 2021 – Swim Regio Solothurn

Last session ahead of the Junior Championships. Everybody was happy to have a swim in the competition pool before the start of the meet. The coaching staff had decided to “prescribe” the first part for all athletes and provide the option for additional “needs” on individual basis after completing the team warm-up.

Overall it was a good championship and end to another difficult season impacted by the ongoing global pandemic. As always, we had highs and lows, and a few “surprises”. You can find detailed results from the Swiss Youth and Junior Championships on SwimRankings.

Part 1:
300 free DPS (long & relaxed; perfect technique)
200 as 50 back kick, 50 free breathe 5
200 choice as 100 drill, 50 kick, 50 drill

4×50 free build & descend 1.-4. R10″
4×50 choice as 1x (35 FAST, 15 easy), 1x (25 FAST, 25 easy) R20″

200 as 50 free breathe 5, 50 double arm back
100 as 25 free no breath, 75 back

2-4×50 free (or choice) pace (800-400-200P) R30″

300 free or back loosen

Part 2 (individual):
starts & turns (backstroke!), sprints, additional loosen
